Part 1: Use Google Voice to Record an Incoming call

Google voice is a great solution if you want to record incoming calls on your iPhone and the major advantage is that it will cost you absolutely nothing. You can only use Google Voice to record incoming calls - the service doesn’t allow you to record outgoing calls.

To record your calls using Google Voice, first you need to have an account. Signing up for one is as easy as heading over to voice.google.com and following the instructions. With a valid Google Voice account, it’s time to record your phone calls. The first step is to enable call recording within your Google Voice account so you can record and save your calls as MP3 files.

Follow these simple steps to enable call recording:

Step 1: Go to the main Google Voice Homepage and then click on the gear icon in the upper right conner. Select settings from the drop down menu.

Step 2: Click on the Calls tab and then check the “Enable recording” box near the bottom of the page.

Now that you have enabled recording. You just need to press number “4” on your phone’s keypad during the call. When you do this, you and the person on the other line will hear an automated voice letting you know that the call is being recorded.

To stop recording, all you have to do is to press “4” again and Google will automatically save the recording in your inbox where you can listen to or download whenever you want.
